Special Schools Christmas Celebration

+ What is it?

This very popular inclusive event, particularly for students with special education needs and disabilities, is taking place on 7th December at St. Mary's Church, Fratton.

This year we will be performing a Christmas concert featuring five community songs along with solo items from each school. These can be songs, poems, a dance, etc. items you are already preparing for your school festivities and would like to share with other schools and our invited guests.

Songs for everyone to sing together are:

  • Away In A Manger
  • Calypso Carol
  • Three Kings Travelling from Starshine's Noisy Nativity
  • Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
  • We Wish You A Merry Christmas

+ When is it?

Rehearsal: Tuesday 6th December at St Mary’s Church, Fratton at 9.45am for a 10.00am start until approx. 11.30am.

Performance: Wednesday 7th December at St Mary's Church, Fratton at 10.15am for a 10.30am start until approx. 11.45am.

+ What will schools have to do?

  • Attend the twilight session on Thursday 3 rd November at 4pm - 5pm on Zoom.
  • Learn the 5 community songs
  • Perform 1 solo item

+ What do we wear?

You can wear school uniform or Christmas costumes, you can use props or not - the aim is to have a manageable goal to work towards.
